Discover Who We Are

CHIYO EDUCATION SUPPORT (CES)

ABOUT US

CHIYO Education Support (CES) is dedicated to advancing quality education for children and youth across Tanzania. Recognizing the need for an organization that fosters cooperation and coordination in the spirit of education, CES is committed to assisting individuals, not for personal gain, but for the collective development of the country's education sector. Our efforts focus on empowering every child and youth, particularly at the local level, with access to education, regardless of social class, disability, or gender, ensuring no one is left behind in their pursuit of knowledge and skills.

The organisation (CES) looks forward to expand its focus to support secondary school students currently enrolled in local schools. Although CHIYO EDUCATION SUPPORT operates outside of formal school settings, it provides a centre where students can live, study, and receive meals, ensuring a stable environment that allows them to focus on their education. These students will continue to attend their respective schools during the week, but on weekends, they will meet with additional tutors, especially in challenging science subjects, to further sharpen their skills. Recognizing the national advantage that can be derived from sustained efforts in the education sector, CES is committed

to providing secondary education and technical training to equip young Tanzanians with the skills needed to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Our goals align closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4, which promotes inclusive and equitable quality education. We are dedicated to ensuring that all girls and boys complete free, quality secondary education, leading to effective learning outcomes and preparing them for future opportunities in an increasingly competitive world.

Let's Make a Difference Today

CHIYO Education Support (CES) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in 2024, with its head office located at Wazo Street, nearby Twiga Cement, in Wazo Ward, Kinondoni District, Dar es Salaam. Since its inception, CES has been dedicated to creating opportunities for youth who lacked the qualifications to progress to higher levels of education. Many of these students, particularly those who did not meet the requirements for joining Form Five, were given a second chance through CES. They were able to prepare for and retake their national Form Four exams, achieving significantly better results.
